La grande id\u00e9e \u00e9tait que le logement abordable \u00e9tait un bien communautaire trop pr\u00e9cieux pour \u00eatre laiss\u00e9 aux vents changeants du march\u00e9 sp\u00e9culatif. Il s&#8217;agissait de la ville de Burlington, dans le Vermont, et le v\u00e9hicule choisi pour concr\u00e9tiser cette vision \u00e9tait la fiducie fonci\u00e8re communautaire.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous savons depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es que les acheteurs du Champlain Housing Trust am\u00e9liorent leur logement et leur situation financi\u00e8re tout en contribuant, en partageant leur capital avec l&#8217;acheteur suivant, \u00e0 l&#8217;accessibilit\u00e9 durable du logement dans notre r\u00e9gion. Nous sommes impatients de partager ces connaissances avec d&#8217;autres, surtout \u00e0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 l&#8217;on r\u00e9clame une meilleure politique du logement. Dans certains endroits, les prix des logements ont augment\u00e9 de 30 \u00e0 50 % au cours de la derni\u00e8re d\u00e9cennie (<br\/>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parce que cette crise touche aux racines des in\u00e9galit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques et spatiales, elle menace la coh\u00e9sion sociale<br\/>de nos villes. Pour les m\u00e9nages les plus fragiles, elle peut conduire \u00e0 une d\u00e9gradation des conditions de vie, des<br\/>opportunit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques et, in fine, de la libert\u00e9. Cette situation s&#8217;explique par les changements structurels<br\/>du march\u00e9 du logement. En particulier, le secteur du logement a \u00e9t\u00e9 soumis \u00e0 la financiarisation, \u00e0 travers laquelle les march\u00e9s financiers jouent un r\u00f4le croissant dans la transformation du logement en marchandises rentables au d\u00e9triment de sa finalit\u00e9 sociale.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les Community Land Trusts (CLT) sont d\u00e9termin\u00e9s \u00e0 \u0153uvrer pour un changement du paradigme de l&#8217;incontestabilit\u00e9<br\/>de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 fonci\u00e8re et immobili\u00e8re individuelle.
