Cela peut para\u00eetre surprenant dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 o\u00f9 la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 cultiv\u00e9e comme &#8220;l&#8217;\u00e9talon-or&#8221; en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de contr\u00f4le d&#8217;une maison ou d&#8217;une parcelle de terre. Mais comme de nombreux propri\u00e9taires am\u00e9ricains l&#8217;ont d\u00e9couvert depuis 2007, la valeur d&#8217;un bien immobilier n&#8217;est pas toujours sup\u00e9rieure au co\u00fbt de son financement &#8211; la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 peut avoir des inconv\u00e9nients significatifs.  <\/p>\n\n<p>M\u00eame si un agriculteur urbain cherchait \u00e0 acheter une parcelle non d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e \u00e0 un prix si bas qu&#8217;il n&#8217;aurait pas besoin d&#8217;un financement, il y aurait toujours des co\u00fbts initiaux pour obtenir le titre de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 et payer les frais de transaction. La propri\u00e9t\u00e9 pure et simple pourrait \u00e9galement cr\u00e9er des obligations en mati\u00e8re d&#8217;imp\u00f4ts fonciers qui, comme nous le verrons plus loin, pourraient \u00eatre att\u00e9nu\u00e9es par la location aupr\u00e8s d&#8217;une fiducie fonci\u00e8re \u00e0 but non lucratif. Viennent ensuite les co\u00fbts des services municipaux, les probl\u00e8mes de responsabilit\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re d&#8217;assurance et la difficult\u00e9 de vendre la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 au cas o\u00f9 l&#8217;agriculteur souhaiterait cesser son activit\u00e9.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Cumul\u00e9s, ces co\u00fbts et ces obligations peuvent faire de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 un pi\u00e8ge.
