L&#8217;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la terre pour une seule saison oblige un cultivateur \u00e0 ne faire que des investissements qu&#8217;il peut prendre et d\u00e9placer facilement. Pour investir plus profond\u00e9ment dans un terrain &#8211; en pr\u00e9parant le sol pour la culture, en installant des infrastructures telles que des serres et des syst\u00e8mes d&#8217;irrigation, ou m\u00eame en cherchant \u00e0 obtenir une certification biologique &#8211; les cultivateurs devront avoir l&#8217;assurance contractuelle qu&#8217;ils y auront acc\u00e8s pendant plusieurs saisons de culture. On peut s&#8217;attendre \u00e0 ce que plus l&#8217;investissement initial est important, plus l&#8217;horizon temporel du producteur est long.   <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Le r\u00e9gime foncier doit concilier les objectifs des propri\u00e9taires fonciers et des producteurs.<\/strong>  Un r\u00e9gime foncier appropri\u00e9 implique \u00e9galement de faire correspondre les objectifs de l&#8217;organisation \u00e0 des parcelles de terre sp\u00e9cifiques et les objectifs des agriculteurs aux terres qu&#8217;ils louent ou qu&#8217;ils poss\u00e8dent. La plupart des organisations agricoles \u00e0 but non lucratif recherchent une occupation \u00e0 tr\u00e8s long terme, soit sous la forme de baux fonciers \u00e0 tr\u00e8s long terme, soit sous la forme d&#8217;une propri\u00e9t\u00e9 pure et simple. Les apprentis agriculteurs qui n&#8217;ont pas encore \u00e9tabli leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 cultiver avec succ\u00e8s au fil du temps seront de meilleurs candidats pour des baux \u00e0 plus court terme. Ceux-ci pourraient inclure des possibilit\u00e9s de renouvellement bas\u00e9es sur les performances, ce qui permettrait effectivement aux cultivateurs d&#8217;\u00e9tablir leur propre s\u00e9curit\u00e9 fonci\u00e8re.
