  • Director of Operations: A senior leadership role for a collaborative, organized, and values-driven professional. The Director of Operations oversees finance, HR, governance, administration, and internal systems, working closely with the Board and co-Directors to support NLT’s next phase of growth, including major capital projects and strategic planning.
  • Tenant and Community Engagement Coordinator: This people-centered role supports tenants through building renovations and temporary relocations, while also strengthening tenant leadership, community engagement, and governanceacross NLT’s programs. You’ll work closely with tenants, housing partners, contractors, and staff to ensure renovation projects are carried out with dignity, care, and clear communication.

rearc institute – Program Director for Collective Stewardship: rearc institute is a nonprofit philanthropic association based in Copenhagen, Denmark and working at the intersection of climate action and architecture philanthropy. Our mission is to support the development of community led, climate-responsive architectural solutions while catalyzing new narratives in the built environment. We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Program Director to lead our Collective Stewardship team at rearc institute. Within this program we provide direct donations to frontline organizations to secure land rights and design and build architectural initiatives that strengthen decision-making power of their communities. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of the impact program’s work and overseeing our partner collaborations to ensure projects meet the program’s standards.

Burlington Community Land Trust (North Carolina) – Executive Director: Burlington Community Land Trust is a nonprofit, community-based organization designed to promote affordable housing and facilitate community development. BCLT works primarily to ensure long-term housing affordability by placing land into trust and creating homeownership opportunities for low-income households. Our mission is to promote sustainable and resilient communities and equitable opportunities for homeownership through the development and support of permanent affordable housing in under-resourced neighborhoods. The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer of the organization, responsible for overall leadership, strategic vision, financial management, and program development. The ED works closely with the Board of Directors and community stakeholders to advance the organization’s mission and ensure operational excellence.

Champlain Housing Trust – Senior Property Accountant: The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate creation and maintenance of financial statements for an assigned portfolio of properties and acting as a resource to Staff Accountants. The Senior Property Accountant also supports the Property Accounting Manager and other department leadership in aUn itessuring that CHT’s corporate financial activity is managed accurately and effectively.

Chinatown Community Land Trust  – Associate Director: The Chinatown Community Land Trust (CCLT) seeks a full-time Associate Director to work with its board, members, and staff to stabilize the future of Boston Chinatown through community control of land and collective governance of shared resources.  The Chinatown Community Land Trust works for community control of the land, development without displacement, permanently affordable housing, and shared neighborhood spaces, consistent with the Chinatown Master Plan.  CCLT is a membership-based organization, founded in 2015 by homeowners, tenant leaders, former residents, small business owners, and longtime activists, with a shared commitment to stabilize Boston Chinatown’s future as a neighborhood for immigrant, working class families, seniors and vibrant small businesses. The Associate Director will share in responsibilities for strategic advancement of the organization’s work. These may include community organizing, planning, and advocacy; coalition and partnership work; program, real estate, and project development and management; membership and organizational development; fundraising and financial management.

Community Farmland Trust – Agricultural Land Acquisitions Contractor: We are seeking a part-time contractor to support our farmland preservation efforts. This contracted position involves working with CFLT Board of Directors and staff to develop policies and protocols governing the acquisition and stewardship of fee title farmland and agricultural conservation easements to further CFLT’s mission. The contractor will collaborate regularly with CFLT Board and staff and will maintain consistent, transparent
communication throughout.

Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative – Director of Sustainable Development: Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI) seeks a mission-driven, sustainability-minded Director of Sustainable Development to steward one of the nation’s most successful urban community land trusts. Dudley Neighbors, Inc. (DNI) is the community land trust established by DSNI to realize the neighborhood’s vision for development without displacement. Managing more than 30 acres of land, DNI oversees 226 affordable homes, a community farm, green spaces, playgrounds, and commercial areas. As steward of this community-owned land, DNI is committed to promoting long-term affordability, environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and equitable access to resources. The Director of Sustainable Development will guide property management, sustainable development initiatives, resident stewardship efforts and help strengthen resident participation in shaping the neighborhood’s future.

Equity Trust – Executive Director: Equity Trust (Amherst MA), a small, national nonprofit advancing socially equitable land ownership and economics rooted in social justice and environmental sustainability, is seeking an Executive Director. This role blends strategic and hands-on leadership across operations, staff supervision, fundraising, communication and organizational planning, with a focus on strengthening the organization’s capacity to respond to the shifting conditions that shape our work. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will help define and carry forward a vision for Equity Trust’s next chapter, building on our legacy of land justice, expanding our solidarity‑economy and land‑justice networks, and advancing efforts to remove barriers to access across all programs, with particular attention to the racial dimensions of unequal access to property ownership.

Grounded Solutions Network – Policy Director: The National Policy Director will help to design and lead the short-term and long-term policy agenda for the organization’s priorities for federal legislation, regulations, policies, and programs, as well as strategies to increase access to real estate and mortgage financing. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience and a commitment to centering a racial equity lens in strategically advancing innovative housing policy and advocacy solutions that reverse disparities and improve outcomes for communities of color.

Homestead Community Land Trust – Chief Real Estate Development Officer: As a community land trust, Homestead develops and stewards land and housing that remains affordable for generations and contributes to more resilient, inclusive communities. We are seeking a Chief Real Estate Development Officer to take direct responsibility for advancing that work—leading complex projects, managing risk, and building the systems that allow it to grow. Homestead has a pipeline of nearly 500 homes advancing across construction, predevelopment, and early-stage planning—all focused on permanently affordable housing that benefits communities experiencing or at risk of displacement. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be responsible for advancing development while shaping how this work is carried out across the organization.

LA Más – Community Housing Manager: LA Más is growing our community housing work, advancing a model of housing that keeps working-class neighbors rooted while shifting power back to community hands.  Since late 2024, we’ve acquired three community-owned properties in Northeast Los Angeles, preserving 22 homes at deeply affordable rents for over 65 residents, all without displacement. We’re hiring a Community Housing Manager to lead the stewardship of this portfolio and help bring our acquisition pipeline to life. You’ll oversee all aspects of project management —from long-term asset management to day to day property management oversight, including capital improvements to compliance and reporting—and collaborate across our team to ensure residents are respected, engaged, and empowered in decision-making.

Northern California Land Trust – Woolsey Gardens Project Director: The Woolsey Gardens Project Director reports directly to the Executive Director and works with internal and external collaborators to lead development initiatives from feasibility through completion. With an initial focus on the Woolsey Gardens project, this role is responsible for structuring and securing $25–30M in financing and raising approximately $10M in funding, while also supporting new project development as opportunities arise and collaborating across departments.

San Francisco Community Land Trust – Resident Support Coordinator: The San Francisco Community Land Trust (SFCLT) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create permanently affordable housing for low- to moderate-income people through community ownership of land. The Resident Support Coordinator (RSC) supports resident stability, well-being, and access to services across our housing portfolio, with a primary focus on rental buildings. This is a highly resident-facing role that combines direct resident support, service coordination, and cross-team collaboration.The RSC is the primary point of contact for rental residents, assisting with housing processes, connecting them to resources and providing guidance during moments of transition or crisis. This role is part of the Resident Engagement team and works closely with Asset Management and other departments to ensure residents receive coordinated, clear, and compassionate support.

San Juan Community Home Trust – Executive Director: San Juan Community Home Trust is seeking a mission-driven Executive Director to lead the island’s only permanent affordable housing organization. Based in Friday Harbor, WA,  the Home Trust develops and preserves permanently affordable homes for low- and moderate-income residents of San Juan Island and currently has four real estate projects under development. The Executive Director will provide strategic, operational, and external leadership, partnering closely with the Board, staff, donors, and public agencies to advance current development initiatives, strengthen fundraising, and guide the organization’s long-term sustainability. This is a highly visible, community-centered leadership opportunity for someone passionate about affordable housing and island life.

SquareOne Villages – Asset Manager: SquareOne Villages is a community land trust based in Eugene, Oregon with a mission of creating democratic communities with homes that are permanently affordable and environmentally sustainable. Since our founding in 2012, we’ve established a track record of delivering innovative “outside the box” shelter and housing, and currently specialize in developing multi-family affordable housing co-ops. SquareOne Villages is seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven Asset Manager to steward the long-term health of our growing portfolio of cooperative housing communities. As a community land trust, we currently hold ground leases with 4 housing co-ops in Lane County (112 units), with another 3 co-ops (approximately 147 units) in various stages of development, and also own a handful of other properties.
